⮞ EROS features a Main Deck Master Stateroom with an ensuite, and also with a seating/ office area. Below deck you can find 4 other staterooms. Forward port stateroom is a fixed queen, and forward starboard is a fixed twin stateroom. Aft there are 2 more staterooms that are convertible from a queen into two twin beds or vice versa.

CAPTAIN- STEPHAN DE PLESSIS- SOUTH AFRICAN
Stephan started his yachting career at just 19 years old in New York City. With a background as a diesel mechanic, he began as a yacht engineer and gradually worked his way up to become a captain in 2006.He has extensive cruising experience, sailing the Bahamas, Eastern and Western Caribbean, South and Central America, Mexico, and Alaska—where he spent three summer seasons exploring Southeast Alaska. Stephan has also travelled widely throughout Africa and Europe. His hobbies include blue water fishing, rugby, golf, and hunting, reflecting his love for the outdoors and adventure. With his strong technical skills and leadership, guests aboard M/Y Eros can feel confident they’re in very capable hands under Captain Stephan.
CHIEF STEWARDESS- JESSICA GOODING- SOUTH AFRICAN
Jess is a bubbly girl with a passion for people and unknown places. Not only has she tackled the corporate world of Events Co Ordination and Marketing but, has also thrown herself into classrooms around Vietnam teaching English as a Foreign Language. Jess is a determined young lady with a heart of gold, one that would go the extra mile to show her guests a wonderful time onboard, as well as ensuring everything is to guest satisfaction. With over 8 years in the industry, Jess has the ability of making her guests feel right at home and will attend to their needs in a welcoming and friendly manner, all while maintaining a beautifully kept living environment. Jess is the definition of a “Busy Bee” however, will always find time for family, friends and new adventures.
2ND STEWARDESS- SIMONE BRITZ- SOUTH AFRICAN
Born and raised on a farm in the scenic Cape Winelands of South Africa, Simoné grew up surrounded by vineyards and a family tradition of winemaking. With a grounded upbringing and easy-going nature, she developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. Simoné has worked as a stewardess in yachting for over five years. She started her career in the Mediterranean, gaining experience on both private and charter yachts along the coasts of Italy, France, and Spain .For the past two years, she has been based in the U.S., working on a private vessel cruising through the Bahamas and Caribbean. This broadened her skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-end environments.

MATE- GRANT DRINN- SOUTH AFRICAN
Having grown up on his family’s Game farm, Grant has a big heart for animals, wildlife, the great outdoors as well as meeting new people. All this combined, helped him make the decision to join yachting and live his life on the ocean. He finds a lot of gratification in showing Charter Guests the beautiful and serene side of nature that can be found on land or sea. Grant has travelled extensively throughout the Bahamas, Caribbean and along the East Coast of North America participating and extending his knowledge in both fishing and diving trips. His good nature and witty sense of humour will keep you entertained during any activity, be it Water Sports, Tender rides or Beach side chilling.
DECKHAND- JESSE LEWIS- SOUTH AFRICAN
Jesse began his yachting career in 2022 and has since gained hands-on experience across various luxury vessels, honing his skills in deck maintenance, tender driving, and guest service. Known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor, he’s always ready to lend a hand and keep operations running smoothly. When he’s not on deck, Jesse enjoys surfing, fishing, and photography, often capturing the beauty of the destinations he visits.
ENGINEER- JUSTIN SHEPARD- SOUTH AFRICAN
Justin is originally from South Africa, he is an experienced Marine Engineer with 19 years of hands-on experience working across a wide range of vessels, from small crafts to larger ships. Now living in the United States for the past few years, he brings a global perspective and a wealth of technical knowledge to every project. Known for his strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, he approaches challenges with a practical mindset and a calm-focused attitude. Adaptable and composed under pressure, he has a proven track record of maintaining smooth, safe operations in diverse and demanding environments. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and watching rugby with friends—interests that keep him grounded and offer balance to a dynamic and often high-pressure career.
