Crew Profile

CAPTIAN- BRETT DOBBINS- AMERICAN
Born and raised on the docks of Fort Lauderdale, Brett didn’t just grow up around boats—he grew up on one. With a lifetime in the yachting world and decades of hands‑on experience running vessels from Maine to Key West and through every corner of the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos, he brings deep‑water knowledge with a calm, confident presence at the helm.
He’s captained everything from family yachts to busy charter programs, handled refits, mechanical work, and long‑range deliveries, and has a reputation for being the guy who can fix almost anything on board. Whether navigating tight waterways or open‑ocean passages, Brett’s steady approach and high standards create a smooth, enjoyable experience for guests and crew alike.
When he’s off duty, you’ll find him diving, working on a personal project in the engine room (by choice!), or simply enjoying life on the water—no surprise from someone who’s been at home on a boat since childhood.

CHEF- BETTY SCHATZLE- AMERICAN
Betty is a seasoned yacht chef with years of experience cooking aboard charter vessels and in respected restaurants. She’s comfortable running a galley solo, planning balanced menus, and adapting to guest preferences with ease. Her background spans busy New Orleans kitchens and multiple seasons on 30m+ yachts, giving her a strong mix of creativity, organization, and calm under pressure.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring local food scenes, experimenting with new dessert ideas, and spending time outdoors. She brings a steady work ethic, a friendly attitude, and a genuine love for good food to every program she joins.

MATE- MATT CHERAMIE- AMERICAN
Originally from Louisiana and now based in Fort Lauderdale, Matthew brings hands-on experience from busy charter seasons in Alaska, New England, and the Bahamas. Skilled in tender operations, fueling, towing, and exterior maintenance, he’s worked on both private and charter yachts ranging from day trips in New York City to extended boss trips in the Exumas. Known for his reliability and attention to detail, Matthew ensures smooth deck operations and guest safety while supporting navigation and engine room upkeep.

Off the water, he enjoys fishing, exploring new coastlines, and staying active outdoors—always ready for the next adventure at sea.
