M/Y Elena was launched in 1992 and was one of the first yachts to enter the Greek charter market. She was built in Perama Shipyard in Greece. She has a steel hull which offers steady cruising and her entire interior is constructed from oak and mahogany wood. M/Y Elena is a classic displacement yacht featuring ample deck space and a lavish interior. In 2008 her stern was extended and a new swim platform was added for easy access to the sea. In 2016 she was refitted with new upholstery in the saloon, VIP cabin and Master Cabin and had a second sun deck installed. MY Elena can accommodate 12-13 guests in 6 cabins. Her main deck features the saloon and dining area, the galley and the VIP cabin. Her mid lower deck features the Master cabin which also has a sofa and her two twin cabins. Two more twin cabins are located in the stern lower deck. All cabins have ensuite facilities and are fully air-conditioned. The crew quarters are located on the lower deck and have a completely separate entrance. M/Y Elena has a warm feel to her and all her guests feel at home when on board. She has a 4.60mt tender with a 70hp outboard engine, water skis, tubes, rings, snorkeling and fishing equipment are also available on board. Her lovely crew of 5 are always ready to cater to guests needs. M/Y Elena has undergone a refit in 2023 as follows -

*VAT rate is determined by applicable tax legislation and may be subject to change without prior notice or responsibility on the Broker, the Stakeholder or the Owner. Should any changes in applicable tax legislation take place after the issuance of a charter agreement resulting in changes in total amount(s) due then the difference will be credited or debited accordingly to the Charterer.
EXTRA Operational Expenses referring as APA* will be approx. Euro15.000,00 for M/Y Elena.
(*A.P.A.=ADVANCE PROVISIONING ALLOWANCE is the amount intended to cover initial operational expenses for fuel, food supplies and any other incidental expenses which are described in detail hereunder) The APA is not to be considered as a final estimation of the yachts expenses as this depends on the itinerary, the fuel price at the time of charter and the provisioning. The APA is to be considered an initial amount sent to cover initial expenses such as listed below. Fuel consumption for running the engine and the generator (depending on fuel rate and cruising hours) Gasoline and lubricants for the use of the tender Food - Drinks and spirits as per super market receipts Marinas' fees Agent/Marina fees abroad (if applicable)
Gratuities to the crew is customary (15% of the charter rate) and it always depends on the clients’ satisfaction.
APA PROCEDURE For the operational expenses clients should pay, prior to embarkation the amount of the A.P.A. (Advance Provisioning Allowance) (fuel for the engine and gasoline for the use of the tender & water toys, food, drinks, delivery, redelivery fees, Corinth Canal Fees if crossed etc). The amount will be handed over to the Captain in order to supply the yacht with provisions, prior to clients' arrival and cover expenses, which will be paid by the Captain during the charter. Final calculations will be made at the end of the charter, with as many supporting receipts and invoices as possible. In case the already given amount appears to be insufficient, the Captain or Broker will advise the client accordingly in order to settle the balance of the expenses. In the contrary case, client will be refunded with any remaining balance.
Note:Due to the current situation with fuel prices rising please inform guests that the 40% APA might not be enough to cover all expenses during the charter.
Both HYBA and MYBA contracts are accepted .
CAPTAIN: STELIOS PANTAZOPOULOS
AGE:40
Captain Stelios graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Preveza and is an experienced maritime professional with over 18 years of experience in the industry. Throughout his career aboard commercial vessels, he has navigated international routes across a wide range of sea conditions, continuously developing his navigational expertise and maritime knowledge. He has also gained extensive experience in vessel safety, security procedures, and maintenance management, ensuring the highest operational standards on board. In May 2019, Stelios joined the team of a 70-meter yacht as Second Officer, cruising throughout the Mediterranean. In April 2021, he advanced to the position of Chief Officer aboard M/Y Serenity, a 72-meter yacht, further strengthening his leadership and operational skills. Since 2023, he has worked as Captain on charter yachts ranging from 21 to 32 meters, cruising the Greek islands and delivering safe, professional, and enjoyable experiences for guests.
Captain Stelios joined the M/Y Elena team in early 2026. He speaks English and is known for his calm leadership, strong seamanship, and dedication to guest satisfaction.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, travelling, playing football and basketball, and fishing.
ENGINEER: GIORGOS PAPADOPOULOS
AGE: 44
Giorgos has been a valued member of the M/Y Elena crew for the past 12 years, serving as the yacht’s mechanic and ensuring the highest standards of technical operation and maintenance on board.With extensive knowledge of all mechanical and technical systems, Giorgos plays a key role in maintaining the yacht in excellent condition and ensuring smooth and safe operations throughout each charter. His expertise, reliability, and attention to detail make him an essential part of the team.In addition to his engineering duties, Giorgos is responsible for operating the tender during water sports activities, including waterskiing and tubing, always ensuring guests enjoy these experiences safely and comfortably.Known for his kind personality, great sense of humour, and professional approach, Giorgos combines technical expertise with a warm and helpful attitude towards guests and crew alike.In his free time, he enjoys sailing and spending time caring for his olive trees and vineyards.
YACHT OPERATIONS MANAGER : APOSTOLIS PAPADOPOULOS
AGE: 72
Known to everyone as Captain Tolis, Apostolis Papadopoulos graduated from the Greek Merchant Marine Academy and furthered his maritime education at the Nautical College of Southampton, England.
He began his career serving aboard Greek-flagged tanker vessels, navigating worldwide routes and gaining extensive experience in seamanship and vessel operations. In 1992, he joined M/Y Elena as Captain, a position he held with distinction for many years before assuming the role of Yacht Operations Manager.
Today, Captain Tolis oversees the yacht's operations, ensuring that every aspect of each charter runs seamlessly and that both guests and crew enjoy the highest standards of service and safety. With over three decades of experience aboard M/Y Elena and exceptional knowledge of the Greek coastline and islands, he is invaluable in planning unique itineraries, recommending secluded bays, crystal-clear swimming spots, and authentic destinations that create unforgettable charter experiences.
Highly respected for his professionalism, leadership, and warm personality, Captain Tolis is the driving force behind the smooth operation of M/Y Elena. His dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests have made him an integral part of the yacht's success.
He speaks English and, in his free time, enjoys spending time in his village with his two dogs, caring for his olive groves, and reading history books.
COOK: KYRIAKOS KAROUSIS
AGE: 65
Kyriakos has graduated from the Athens Cook school and has acquired a vast experience as a cook during his career. Before joining M/Y Elena he worked as a chef in 5 star hotels in Athens, later on he joined the yachting industry adding many years of cooking on yachts. Whereas during the winter months he works as a private cook in villas. Kyriakos joined M/Y Elena in 2019 and has been the cook on board this yacht since. He specializes in Greek cuisine and keeps his guests extremely happy with offering them all kinds of Greek specialties.
HOSTESS – SOFIA STAMATAKOPOULOU
AGE: 50
Sofia has been working as a hostess aboard luxury yachts for the past four years, delivering exceptional service with professionalism, discretion, and genuine hospitality. She is highly experienced in guest service, housekeeping, tablesetting, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere on board. Her calm, positive personality, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence ensure that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable charter experience. Sofia takes pride in anticipating guests' needs and maintaining the highest standards of comfort and care throughout each charter.
HOSTESS : IRYNA KOROTCHENKOVA
AGE: 44
Iryna was born in Ukraine and holds full qualifications from a professional stewardess school in Ukraine. After an initial career in banking, she decided to pursue her passion for hospitality and successfully transitioned into the luxury yacht charter industry.
She speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English, Iryna brings strong communication skills, professionalism, and a genuine dedication to guest care. She joined the M/Y Elena team in early 2026, where she quickly became a valued member of the crew. With her kind and elegant personality, excellent manners, and attentive approach, Iryna is always focused on anticipating guests’ needs and ensuring a comfortable, memorable, and personalized charter experience.
DECKHAND: ALEXANDROS ORFANOS
AGE: 20
Alexandros is the youngest of the team and joined M/Y Elena in 2024 He is the deckhand on board always keeping the yacht ready for the clients. Alexandros is always there to greet the guests with a warm smile and assist wherever is needed. He is a fluent English speaker , Russian speaker and also Greek which is his first language.
